Black womanhood is both the greatest joy and greatest challenge of my life.

Everyday we’re confronted with the strides that have been made by the women before us as well as just how far we have to go. Sometimes it can be hard to experience the joy while planning for the future.

I started developing The Bougie Black Girls in the hopes of creating another safe space for Black women to come together and unpack the world around them. This is a space where Black women of all identities should be able to come, engage, unwind, and explore.
